Absolutes?

Sorry for this somewhat "morbid" post. Tonight I was listening to one of my favorite pieces of music. "Green Sleeves" as done by Zamfir. I whistle this piece quite often when I want to think deeply and be left alone. This piece of music brings many thoughts. Some weird. Some strange. Some frightening. Some enlightening. Anyway, sorry for rambling. Embarassed

If I may share what is coursing through my mind at this moment.....

Absolute is defined as being perfect, complete, pure. Complete and without restriction or qualification. Expressing finality with no implication of possible change. Not capable of being violated or infringed. Finally, the highest Reality; supreme Consciousness; the pure, untainted, changeless Truth. The basis of being absolute is the totality and finality of that action.

With that being said I wonder.....are there absolutes? In life? Death?

Before responding I ask you to seriously ask yourself this question. I'm not asking for quick off-the-cuff responses. I'm asking you to look deep into your mind and soul to seek an answer to this question. It is only philosophical in nature and there is no wrong answer. If you've followed me this far may I ask you to follow me a little further down the path? Download/borrow a copy of this song and listen to it a couple of times. Mayhap it will bring to mind what I'm seeking. Mayhap it won't.

Mayhap we'll discover some truths about ourselves that we didn't know on this short, overgrown path.
