My wife bought a subscription to Yahoo! Music a while back. It cost us $13.99 for the month. The thing is the music had to have the licenses backed up on a regular basis. If they weren't the music wouldn't play. However, the music she downloaded off Limewire would play fine. We had decided to download music "legally". We live in Canada and the copyright laws are very different than the States, but we decided to pay for it instead. So when we found out what happens with the music we cancelled the subscription and went back to Limewire. Just to be able to play the music would have meant keeping the service from Yahoo. No wonder people use P2P software. Subscriptions suck! What's the point of doing this "legally" if you have to continually pay for it???????

What about itunes, ( if you own an ipod) you pay as you buy.

I use Limewire myself now too. I don't download a lot of music though. My wife does most of it. :)
